Jane Downes


Jane is one of Irelands best known Career and Performance Coaches and author of “The Career Book” – Help for the Restless Realist - www.thecareerbook.ie . She established Clearview Coaching Group a Career Coaching and Training business in 2004 following an extensive career working in the area of recruitment and HR consulting. As an experienced Coach, Jane has given over 14,000 hours of Career, Executive, Interview and Business coaching and has worked with thousands of professionals from around the globe.


Jane is proud to have helped so many clients over the past 13 years including C-suite Executives and Senior Managers from CEOs to Entrepreneurs and Line Managers etc. In addition, the Clearview Team have successfully partnered with many businesses from brand name Multinationals to Semi-State organisations through the successful delivery of their in-house performance coaching programmes and career planning / career performance workshops.


In 2017, Jane co-launched a sister business - theleadershiprooms.ie a new training program targeted at senior leaders. The leadership rooms combined local cultural insights with specific tailored content. It is new and different from what is available in Ireland and combined knowledge and experience with thinking from the worlds best leaders to deliver individual solutions. 


Jane regularly writes for the National Press and is regularly invited to speak on national radio. In the past Jane also held the position of weekly Career Expert on TV3’s “The Morning Show” and was a regular live contributor on RTE’s The Daily Show TV Program. 

In 2015 Jane made the Irish Tatler Business Women of Influence Directory for 2015 and was invited to speak at the prestigious Tatler Academy in The Convention Centre and Nationwide on Women, Work and Worth. In summer 2016, Jane was invited to run a successful series on RTE Radio, “The Sean O Rourke Show” discussing career challenges in a weekly slot. She also was invited to speak regularly on career related topics on RTE 2FM. 2017/2018 have seen Jane become a regular contributor on Newstalk radio. Jane’s book "The Career Book" is foreworded and backed by the internationally acclaimed writer and creator of “The 6 thinking hats” and “lateral thinking” Dr. Edward De Bono. This book continues to receive strong feedback in the Media and from real people on the ground with real career issues and due. Jane is currently under contract with the same publishers (Orpen Press/Blackhall Publishing) to write her second Career related book.


Jane has a First Class Honours Social Science Degree and Training/Facilitation Qualification. Jane is also a Qualified Life & Business Coach (Accredited by the European Coaching Institute ECI) and is a member the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC www.emccouncil.org/ie/en/). Jane is also a qualified Career Coach Assessor (www.fireworkcoaching.com) and a licensed and qualified Emotional Intelligence Assessor (EQI).

Before becoming a Coach, Jane worked within the area of Senior Executive Search & Recruitment and HR consulting where she excelled. These assignments involved carrying out consulting projects for some of Ireland’s brand name clients. Jane uses this vital experience gained in her Executive and Career coaching sessions with her clients.

 Along with offering one to one career coaching support to executives and those seeking to change career, raise performance, go to market or develop interview strategy.


Jane and her team have also been successfully delivering boutique Outplacement Programmes for some high profile multinationals, Insurance Companies, Technology led Games Companies and Banks. 


In 2016, Jane qualified as an Advanced Analytic-Network Leadership Coach (www.analyticnetwork.com) which is an advanced coaching system that supports new leadership for our networked society. This has given Jane even more best practice approaches to Coaching Leaders, Executives and Managers and is a theoretically robust programme. Ultimately, this qualification allows Jane to help her client to develop their personal, authentic leadership approach and strategically influence the networks in which they work to create positive transformational change. Jane will either use this system as a backdrop to her coaching work or coach through the frames of this system depending on her clients needs. In January 2017, Clearview will launch new exciting programmes due to market requests. The first being an in-house “Manager as Coach” programme and another in partnership a unique Leadership Development programme.


Jane currently sits on the Board of Advisors for a prestigious international start-up organisation in the area of career app development.

Carmel Morrissey


Carmel has worked with Clearview Coaching Group since 2011. She is a Qualified Career Coach and Trainer with a BSc in Applied Psychology and Sociology, specializing in Organizational Psychology. She is a Qualified Psychometric and Emotional Intelligence Assessor and has completed BPS Level A & B (Intermediate Plus) in Psychometrics, Professional Certification in Emotional Intelligence EQ-I 2.0 and EQ360. She also holds certifications in Conflict Management and Alternative Dispute Resolution in the Workplace. She is currently completing a further qualification which is innovative and out of the mainstream focused in Work and Life coaching specialising in coaching with horses to facilitate professional development


Carmel will tell you that she absolutely loves what she does and her passion is to help her clients discover what they truly want and work with them to turn it into a reality. As such she has 1000’s of hours of experience working with clients of all levels including C- level management who are seeking change and wanting to  gain clarity within their career, whether that is to improve performance, manage stress or conflict, change career completely, rebuild confidence, feel less stuck or identify their passion and purpose in life. She has also delivered a range of career development programmes to IT professionals within the Tech Industry


She established a successful business  FastTrackCVs in 2008 which she ran until 2013 which was a professional CV writing company and as such she has an excellent understanding of how to create a CV that will get you an interview using 10 easy to follow steps. Carmel can also help you to rebrand yourself in order to generate new opportunities, interview successfully and build a relevant network.


Carmel has contributed to the media regularly on articles for newspapers and magazines on topics such as personal effectiveness and managing stress in the workplace, CV's and interview techniques. She has contributed to a range of radio panels on topics such as” occupation transformation” on Today FM .She has been the "the interview expert" for Recruit Ireland and has been a speaker at a range of high profile events. In the past having worked for one of the largest recruitment agencies in the world, Carmel has recruited for Senior Finance & Office Support and so has a thorough knowledge of the job search process.

Susan Keating


In addition to being a Career and Executive Coach with Clearview Coaching Group, Susan, also works as a part-time HR Director with Ireland’s largest Public Relations companies, Teneo. This role allows her to keep her finger on the pulse.
Having worked in the rapidly evolving and growing IT sector for over 15 years, Susan brings a combination of real commercial understanding combined with people management at all levels. Susan and her partner started and have subsequently sold a successful Irish software company. With this experience, she enjoys working with entrepreneurs and business owners too.

As part of her work she now specialises in setting up HR functions, in-house coaching programmes, one to one coaching and has a real understanding of business processes, organisational structures and the high expectations that employees are operating at in the 21st Century.


As an experienced coach and mentor, Susan is passionate about career performance coaching, and managing performance within your career. She is 100% committed to ensuring every client reaches their career aspirations and their career potential.
